The Gordon Trust
Grants are available for registered charities working in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire in the areas of disability, social deprivation, homelessness, substance and alcohol abuse and prisoner education and rehabilitation.

Objectives of Fund
The Trust offers grants to charitable organisations undertaking projects in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.
Grants tend to range from £250 to £1,000 although there is no set upper limit for very special applications.
Who Can Apply
Registered charities working in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire are eligible to apply.
Funding is not normally available for the following:
- Groups that do not have charitable status.
- Every day running expenses.
Funding is available for work in the following areas:
- Social deprivation.
- Substance and alcohol abuse.
- Prisoner education and rehabilitation.
Support may ‘very occasionally’ be available for projects outside these areas.
The Trust prefers to support one-off revenue costs or capital expenditure.
How To Apply
Applications are considered four times a year, in February, May, August and November. The deadlines for applications are: 15 January, 15 April, 15 July and 15 October. Successful applicants will usually be informed of the Trustees’ decision within two weeks of the Trustee meeting. The Trust is not able to write to unsuccessful applicants.
Application forms are available to download from the Trust’s website and should be submitted by email along with the organisation’s most recent accounts (unless they appear on the Charity Commission website) and a budget for the project.
